Do I need an Appointment?
Yes, an appointment is essential. A Bizzaro designer will consult with you 1 on 1, offering you expert design advice and creative ideas to help you decide on your dream gown.

What should I bring to my appointment?
We recommend that you go put together a collection of images and that you find appealing. Remember, you are most likely NOT going to find a photo of the perfect gown, this is to assist the designer to better understand your likes and dislikes as the perfect gown is designed for you. This is only a suggestion and is entirely up to you. We also suggest that you wear a strapless bra so that you may see styles on yourself without the interference of visible bra straps.

Can I bring others to my appointment?
You are most welcome to bring family and friends with you, however we ask that you keep the numbers to a minimum (3 maximum), as our consultation areas are small and intimate.

Can I come in and browse prior to making an appointment?
Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate browsers. To maintain the high level of Bizzaro quality and service, we work by appointment so that we give brides a 1 on 1 experience and our undivided attention. When should I make an appointment to see a Bizzaro designer? We recommend that you call to arrange your appointment soon after you confirm your wedding date.

Will I be charged a fee for my consultation?
At Bizzaro we do not charge consultation fees.

How long does it take to make a gown?
Although booking are sometimes confirmed as long as 18 months prior to the wedding date the majority of the work takes place in the 4-5 months leading up to the wedding. This is just a guide as the time to make a gown can change depending on the work involved. On occasion, fabrics, laces and crystals can be out of stock and could take as long as 3-4 months to arrive from over seas. Early bookings wherever possible helps everything run without stress for all involved.

How early should I book my Bizzaro gown?
We recommend that you confirm your order by leaving a deposit within 4-6 weeks of your consultation. Positions are limited as Bizzaro only produce a limited number of gowns per year to ensure that the high standard and quality that Bizzaro gowns are famous for is maintained for every client.

What if my wedding day is soon?
Don’t panic! CALL US NOW. Because all Bizzaro gowns are made in the workroom at the rear of the store, we have the ability to create gowns in record time when necessary. We will do our best to fit you in and make sure you enjoy a stress free couture experience, just like every other Bizzaro bride.

How many times can I come in before making a decision and commitment?
From our past experience we have found that most people require only the one consultation before making their decision. A second consultation is easily arranged if you want the opinion of someone important who was not with you on your first visit, or to discuss any changes or concerns you may have before leaving a deposit.

I live interstate, where can I buy a Bizzaro Gown?
Bizzaro Gowns are made to measure and therefore they are not available anywhere but the Bizzaro studio in Sydney. We cater for many interstate brides and have done so for the past 2 decades. Rural and Interstate brides are offered a condensed VIP fitting schedule which requires only 2 day trips to Sydney for the gown to be completed. Saving on accommodation and flight expenses.

I have no idea what I want! Do I have to know before meeting with a designer?
At Bizzaro we are here to help, we will design a gown for you by asking a series of questions about the wedding and your likes and dislikes. We will go through our sample styles with you and determine a silhouette that most flatters your figure type and then move onto discussing and selecting the finer details. Gowns are our specialty; we will make sure that you look and feel stunning on your wedding day.

Will I be dealing with the designer after I have booked my Bizzaro gown?
Yes, we believe that it is very important to work with every Bizzaro bride personally. The person who designs your gown will be your personal Bizzaro liaison from conception to completion.

I want to lose weight. Is that a problem?
No. As long as we are aware of your intentions, we can arrange your fittings to give you the most time possible to achieve your goals.

How much can I expect to pay for a Bizzaro Bridal Couture Gown?
The price of each gown is dependent on several variables: style, degree of difficulty, fabrics, lace, amount of beading and so on. We understand that most brides are working within a budget and prefer to have some idea of what designers charge before they make an appointment. Bizzaro gowns average between $4000-$5500 and tend not to go below $3500.00

How much must I leave as a deposit?
A $1000.00 deposit is required at the time of your booking. The balance of your payments will be clearly outlined on your fittings schedule which you will receive by email and post within 2 weeks of booking your Bizzaro Gown.

What payment options are available?
Preferred payments methods at Bizzaro include cash, cheque, direct deposit and Internet banking (EFT). We do not accept card payments. Amex cards are welcome but incur a processing fee of 3.5% (not negotiable)

How many fittings will I need?
At Bizzaro 6 fittings are usually standard with the 6th being when you take your gown home with you. This is always no less than 1 week prior to your wedding day unless you have requested otherwise. Depending on the complexity of the design extra fittings may be scheduled by the designer to ensure a perfect fit. You will be given ample notice if this will be necessary.

Can you design and make my Brides Maids gowns?
Yes, if you have booked your gown at Bizzaro we are able to offer you this service. Bridesmaids’ gowns and flower girl dresses are made to measure and are designed to compliment the bridal gown and theme of the wedding. Prices start from $900 for bridesmaids and from $450 for flower girl dresses. If you find a simple style, off the rack for your brides maids elsewhere, Bizzaro also offer an embellishing service to turn the ordinary into extraordinary. Unfortunately, we only offer couture bridesmaids, embellishment service and flower girl dresses as an added service to Bizzaro Brides.

What guarantee do I have that everything will be perfect and on time?
Bizzaro Bridal is one of Australia’s most reputable and established couture studios (since 1991 in the same premises). Ambassadors of the Australian Bridal Industry Academy, members of the ABIA Hall of Fame, winner of the nationally recognised Designer of Dreams award and also winners of over a dozen ABIA awards for excellence in the supply of Couture Bridal Gowns, Bridal Jewellery and Bridesmaids Gowns. Over 1500 brides have been catered for at Bizzaro and have been very happy and satisfied with the finished product and quality of work. Many clients come from referrals and word of mouth, proving that Bizzaro brides are happy brides who are spreading the word. Every gown is made through a series of fittings. Your fittings are established and you are given a fittings schedule shortly after your deposit is paid, making sure that your couture experience is organized and stress free. The first and second fittings are concentrated on the toile. This is a mock up of your design made in calico (cotton fabric). This is done to establish the line of the gown and to refine the position of main design lines. The toile is molded and fitted to the brides body and then is used as a custom pattern when cutting the gown in fabric. Your gown will evolve in each fitting and you have the flexibility and the opportunity to alter any aspects of the design in its progression if you desire to do so. As proud business owners, it is not in our interest to have you leave our store with anything but a huge smile and a drop dead gorgeous gown.
